One comment so far Have your say

Rafa Benitez says he has been provided with a major selection headache after the excellent work of his strike force in recent games, insisting that Robbie Fowler is forcing his way back near to the top of his list.

“It’s important for the strikers to score goals and also it gives me a headache over which ones to use.

“Bellamy and Fowler both scored two goals this week, Kuyt is also scoring and Crouch is playing well. But these are the kinds of problems you like.

“Robbie is a very good finisher and if the team is playing well, creating chances, we will score goals when he is there. But I can say the same about Bellamy, Crouch and Kuyt.”

Fowler scored twice away mid-week, with Bellamy scoring twice last weekend, with Kuyt adding another and seriously assisting the own-goal.

Benitez can only pick two tomorrow, and Mark Gonzalez is also pushing for a return to the side.  Many expected Mark to be absent till early January but the player has made tremendous progress since tearing his hamstring four weeks ago, and is seeking to restore Rafa’s faith in him.  Sami Hyypia is also available for selection.

One comment on Benitez struggling over Fulham decision

kuyt and bellamy, fowler is a bench player for me he is good to come on for the last 30 or so, i aloso think the same abou tgarcia he always does well wen he comes off the bench but i still tink he should b starting aswell my ideal formation for liveprool would be:
reina
finnan carragher agger riise
pennant gerrard alosno garcia
bellamy kuyt
