Everton hold Liverpool at Anfield: 0-0

Everton defended resolutely to hold Liverpool to a 0-0 draw in the 205th Merseyside Derby.

Craig Bellamy had a first half goal ruled out for offside (which it was) but Liverpool dominated the second half. Everton camped out in their own half, and baldy Andy Johnson nearly grabbed a winner on one of Everton’s few counter-attacks.

The blues held out and will no doubt be crowing about their ‘draw’ over the coming days. Expect an exclusive Everton DVD to be produced soon.

The Match Report is here containing links to the updated season analysis and Season stats.

a very poor display by us reds, too many high balls, bad passes and poor shooting. a lack of quality against a limited, negative side. Very dissappointing display
