A Broken Bone - earlier todayA Broken Bone - earlier todayRafa has today insisted that Steven Gerrard’s low-speed traffic collision with the leg of a 10 year old boy will not affect the preparation for the Marseille game.

Steven Gerrard’s Bentley collided with the young boy (alleged to be a Man United fan) at school ‘kicking out time’ in Birkdale yesterday.

Benitez today said:

“I was talking with him this morning and he’s fine.

“He was disappointed but he’s spoken to the boy and his family and everything is okay.

“He was driving slowly so it is not a problem.

“He is ready to play. This morning he was training normally.”
