Mascherano heads off to Barcelona after ‘official’ signing

Javier Mascherano has officially become a Liverpool today after the Premier League commitee finally agreed that no rules had been broken in his transfer.

FIFA, football’s world governing body, had already decreed it so but the Premier League officials felt the need to exercise a bit of power and today, 20 days after the close of the transfer window, completed the deal.Jav

Javier Mascherano has flown to Barcelona with the rest of the players and is eligible to play.
