The word on the streets was that Jose Reina would be moving on the summer to return to his native Spain but our number one has insisted that his future is very much at Liverpool.

“I am happy here and want to stay.”

“We will talk about a new deal in the summer.

“I have two years left but I want to look beyond that. My wife and I have just had our first child and she’s a Scouser. (his daughter not his missus)

“Maybe next time I’ll have a son and he can play for Spain or England!”

Jose Reina is currently pushing to become Spain’s first choice keeper.
