FC Porto broke CS Marítimo’s 100% record to ensure they remained top of the Portugese league.
The Portugese champions face Liverpool on Tuesday night and it was Lisandro López who headed home the winner in the 58th minute.
Porto have won all four of their league games going in to what could be a crucial clash of the group stages, so early in the tournament.
FC Porto have won their national title four times in the last five years, and won the Champions League with Mourinho in charge in 2004.
