Liverpool Chairman Tom Hicks has distanced himself once again from the speculation suggesting he is considering selling his share in the club.

Tom HicksSpeaking this evening the co-owner of our club said:

“I have not received any offer to purchase the club from the DIC or anyone else, much less accepted any such offer. Nor do I have any intention of doing so.

“Whoever is behind this false report, the facts are that I and my family have always been, and remain, fully committed to co-owning the club.

“No-one in my family has ever indicated any intention or desire to sell our stake in the club.

“We expect and intend to be co-owners of the club, and to actively and enthusiastically support the club’s manager, players and fans for many years to come.”

George Gillett has not made any announcement yet on his 50% stake in the club.

Given the redneck’s allergy to telling the truth, I for one believe this denial is a prelude to an announcement that he will sell his stake in the club… AND GOOD RIDDANCE…

If Hick’s does hang on to Anfield he must think he knows what is best for all but he’s taking one hell of a risk.
We the fans know that if he keeps hold of LFC he’ll have to put in real money and a lot of it if he wants to keep us at the top level.

I don’t think he’ll do it after the money he spent in the summer has now shown him to be an out and out business man and not a fan,all he wants is a quick buck and I feel this was his intention from the beggining when Gillette brought him in on the deal,he must have thought like us ‘brill’ here’s a very rich guy it’s just what we need, false dawn no wonder Gillette is annoyed with the spiv(Hick’s) he was conned along with every other fan of LFC.

Will Hick’s take the risk of seeing the club lose it’s price and plummet down to where he wont get HIS money back,I think not my worry is he’ll hang on here till the summer and put us back years in terms of rebuilding but let’s hope he does the honorable thing and both himself and Mr Gillette sell up and go back home where they’re wanted.
