Unhappy Riise looks for exit

John Arne Riise’s Liverpool career could be approaching its final stages after he admitted to the Norwegian media that he was unhappy with his current role at the club.

“I am not happy with the situation,” said John.

“I am used to playing in 80 per cent of all the games, but if I don’t get to play as much as I want to I have to make a choice this summer as to whether I should stay or not.

“I just have to wait and see what will happen.

“Maybe he (Benitez) will offer me a new contract, maybe not.

“It’s frustrating not knowing if you are going to play the next game or not.”

John Arne has not been as influential this season, and speculation was linking him last summer with a move to Chelsea.  The player has found himself wedged out of defence by Fabio Aurelio, and the left wing by Ryan Babel who Benitez both seemingly prefers.

I can’t believe the amount of stick Riise has got this year he can’t do alot when he’s not playing and considering the big performances and goals he’s provided in the last 3/4 years I think it would be a mistake to get rid of him – he is a weapon with his shooting, has fantastic stamina and loves it at Liverpool – he just needs to ghet a run of games and we will all see the real John Arne Riise!
