Gerrard sent home injured

by Anfield Online | Tuesday 13th October 2009 | @jd77

On Sunday the scan performed by England was all fine and wonderful (according to England’s medical team).

Today, Steven Gerrard was sent back to Liverpool’s doctors after being ruled out of tomorrow’s England clash against Belarus.

Liverpool’s midfielder had lasted 45 minutes against Ukraine on Saturday before going off injured.  He limped out of training early today and is unlikely to be in contention for Liverpool’s weekend fixture against Sunderland away.

Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt are also players who appear to have aggravated injuries whilst on international duty.

it’s ok Torres can play and get injured with him and apparently Kuyt, El Zahr on the right N’Gog up front with Voronin behind him? And people say we dont need further investment…

Rafa we love you but you have had loads of time to sort this out (is it 5 years and a load of cash!)
We need good players to come in when we lose our best players.
