It was shocking when i head Sami was leaving. But there is nothing more we can do but but i don’t think he is not gonna come back to Anfield. I think he is just going for holidays at Leverkusen for the next two years and return to the coaching staff. Wish we all the best…SAMI…You are a true legend and will be remembered many years to come.

I think Big Sami could definitley played for us for another 2 seasons as a bench stop gap player, but it is time for Agger and Skrtl. Sami definitely has been a Legend for the Reds, and probably one of our ever finest buys, (value for money wise). A credit to himself and the club over the last decade, a true Pro. I can understand him wanting to now play regualr football, and all the very best to him and his family, and hope to see him back at Anfield in a coaching capacity in the not too distant future. One of the best to wear the RED jersey & an absolute gentleman on the field!

I’m just wondering who’s going to score all our headed goals now because I believe Sammy was 1 of the best where defenders are concerned, especially in Europe!!!

Im sad to see Sami leaving but to be honest i always expected him to leave at the end of this season, its the right thing to do if he still wants to play regularly.
Sami is a true reds legend and i hope he comes back one day in a coaching role.
Good luck at Bayer Leverkusen, i’ll be keeping an eye on them next season!

I love big Sami but given his obvious desire to continue playing regularly it was the right move to re-sign Agger and let Sami go. I hope we’ll see the big man back at Anfield at some stage in a coaching capacity as his attitude was fantastic.
