Leto completes move from Anfield
by Anfield Online | Wednesday 1st July 2009
Sebastian Leto has completed a £3 million move to Panathiniakos of Greece.
Leto arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2007 but only played a handful of games, as he was unable to land a work permit to take part in Liverpool’s Premier League games. As a result Liverpool were forced in to sending the player out on loan and he spent last season with Olympiakos.
However at the end of the season Olympiakos expressed reluctance to purchase the player despite a good season, and it was rivals Panathiniakos who made the first permanent approach to LFC.

Maybe he can play much more games in Panathiniakos as here in Anfield.
This is excellent news, £3million for a player we’ve never really seen play. Great piece of business!
i wanted him to stay were going to need him when we sell masch and alonso.
IF these two players do leave we will need a proven player and not someone who couldnt even get into the panathanikos team on a regular basis.
Someone like Sillva or Iniesta or Xavi out with the old and in with the new.
If these pair do leave us then we will have £40 – £50 mill to play with we could get 3 decent players for that, at the end of the day business is business and if you could make that knid of money on two players that we didnt pay £25 mill for between them then let them go to get the funds in place
