Liverpool keeper under armed guard

Nikolay Mihaylov, Liverpool’s Bulgarian keeper is under armed guard after an acid attack on his £170,000 Ferrari in his native Bulgaria.

The problems began when local Mafia boss – Georgi ‘The Head’ Stoilov – began dating Mihaylov’s former girlfriend, the Playboy model Nikoleta Lozanova.

Nikolay was speaking to the media and was commenting on his new girlfriend and said:

‘If my new girlfriend was a Ferrari, Nikoleta must be a broken down Trabant from the old East Germany.’

Next day, his car’s paintwork had been destroyed in the attack and authorities suspect the Mafia boss to be involved.

Mihaylov has been hampered so far in his Liverpool career – but with Itandje due to leave following his actions during the Hillsborough ceremony and Cavalieri a target for Benfica, Mihaylov may return to Anfield shortly to deputise for Pepe Reina.
