Liverpool learn Europa League fate

by Anfield Online | Friday 16th July 2010 | @jd77

Liverpool will face either FK Rabotnicki (Macedonia) or FC Mika (Armenia) in the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa League.

The first leg at Anfield will be on the 29th July with the return leg a week later.

FK Rabotnicki beat FC Mika 1-0 in the first leg last night.

The game will be the reds first competitive game of the season and is sandwiched in between two friendly matches.

Of the two teams Rabotnicki have a more decorated history in their native country.  Three seasons ago they met Bolton Wanderers in the first round of the UEFA Cup.  They narrowly lost 2-1 over two  legs.
