Spearing heads off to Leicester

Liverpool's Jay Spearing

Liverpool’s Jay Spearing has moved to Premiership-chasing Leicester City on loan for the rest of the season.

The reds 21 year old midfielder has made 6 appearances for the Liverpool first team this season but has been denied opportunities since the return of Gerrard and Aquilani from injury.

Leicester City are exceptionally well placed to be involved in the play-offs in the Championship, with a great chance of being promoted to the Premier League.

Milan Mandaric, Leicester’s chairman, said:

“Jay is a great signing and that should be a big help to us.”

Leicester play Reading this evening and Spearing could be involved in the squad.

spearing being a local we tend to what him to get ahead more than a overseas lad, and probably rightly so, but for me only kelly and ayla look better bet then spearing and darby, for me darby needs to learn quicker, kelly is far the better player, and spearing is no better than the more talented bruna, duran, and young dutch player who got a wounder goal last night, his name jordi brower, and even plessies is better than spearing, maybe give the little loveable man more time but for me we have better in the reserves and academy, which is saying what a great job is being done at the club at youth level, there is

ince, ayala kelly, nemeth, da la valle, irwin, Kacaniklic : Gulacsi, Flanagan, Cooper, Ayala, Palsson, Duran and ammo etc
