Liverpool ignored the Luis Suarez transfer saga, winning 4-1 against Vålerenga in Oslo.

Owner John W Henry made his first appearance at a Liverpool game in over a year, as the reds ran out easy winners at the Ullevaal stadium.

Luis Alberto started the scoring for the reds - pouncing on a clearance to volley home, before Liverpool conceded their first goal of pre-season - after scoring 14 goals without reply.

Iago Aspas put Liverpool back in the driving seat ahead of the half time interval.

Stewart Downing was key to the second goal - maybe with a point to prove - as he set up Aspas for a tap-in.

Liverpool made substantial changes at half time, and Toure reacted best to a corner leaving Martin Kelly with an easy goal to put LFC 3-1 up.

Coutinho, who took the corner for the third goal, was involved with the fourth - alongside Assaidi.  The two combined well to allow Raheem Sterling to slot home LFC's fourth.

The reds have one more pre-season game before the start of the season when they take on Celtic at the weekend.
