Liverpool depart Australia having added two further victories to their pre-season campaign.

A more difficult test today against Adelaide United at the city's cricket ground - the Adelaide Oval.

Over 50,000 fans saw two of Liverpool's new boys inflict the damage on the hosts as the reds scored two second half goals through James Milner and Danny Ings.

Adelaide treated the club to a terrific rendition of YNWA before the game in what was the reds first trip to the city.

Both Milner and Ings have been easy on the eye so far in pre-season and whilst this was a second goal for Milner on the tour - it was a well deserved first for Ings who came on with just over 20 minutes to go - replacing Divock Origi.

The first half was a tame affair - with few chances of note for either side.  A slight change in personnel left Origi a little bit isolated up front. Lovren, Allen and Ibe all started - replacing Sakho, Lucas and Ings from Friday's game in Brisbane.

Joe Gomez again was impressive throughout - and one of his crosses should have been dispatched by Origi in the half.

He was replaced at half time by the returning Moreno - but he looks like he will provide some serious competition in the coming season.

Ibe stepped up his game in the second half and would eventually go on to collect a deserved Man of the Match award.

In the 68th minute Ibe's cross was met by James Milner who converted.  A goalscoring midfielder at Liverpool - who would have thought it..!

As the clock ticked down Danny Ings made sure of the win when he was fed a fine through ball by Nathaniel Clyne.  He took the ball wide of the keeper before putting it away from a tight angle.
