Marko Grujić returned to the Liverpool line up after missing the weekend's game due to illness, but scored another opening goal for the reds.

Phil Coutinho missed a penalty which was won by Sadio Mane.  Lucas Leiva pulled up just after the hour mark with a suspected hamstring injury - which meant that LFC's 18 year old goalkeeper Shamal George had to come on as a makeshift striker.

In the last minute of the game Alberto Moreno made it 2-0 when he scored his penalty - Liverpool's first converted penalty in three attempts this summer.

The reds now head immediately to the United States for the next stage of their summer schedule - a pre-season tour of the United States when they will be joined by players from the European Championship campaigns.

Sadio Mane's run through the middle just after the half hour mark was powerful - he fed Firmino on the wing who crossed the ball into the path of Marko Grujic.  Just like last week, Marko took a touch before a fine finish to give Liverpool the lead.

Just two minutes later Mane broke free again - brought down by the goalkeeper who was yellow carded as the referee pointed to the spot.

Phil Coutinho stepped up for the penalty but his attempt was weak and saved by the villain turned hero in the Huddersfield goal.

All six outfield subs were brought on at half time - including the likes of Kent, Woodburn and Markovic.

Just after the hour mark Lucas pulled up and was immediately withdrawn from the game.  With six of Liverpool's first half players just finishing their shower routine it was left to the last substitute, goalkeeper 18 year old Shamal George, to don the red shirt and play outfield.  He played as a striker - meaning Woodburn and Kent played a bit further back.

It effectively ended the game as a worthwhile spectacle.  The reds continued to defend well despite the midfield reshuffle and scored their 10th goal of pre-season from the penalty spot in the last minute.

10 goals scored so far, none conceded.

Next up - Chelsea.
