Liverpool and Bayern Munich played out another Anfield 0-0 in a game in which both defences had the upper hand.
The reds makeshift defence can arguably be more pleased with the shut out - with Fabinho partnering Joel Matip in a makeshift reds defence. Liverpool had the better of the limited opportunities, with Sadio Mane the main attacking and thus wasteful threat for the reds.
It was a quiet night for Mo Salah, although he too had a couple of decent opportunities across the ninety minutes.
Dejan Lovren had failed to make the matchday squad meaning Liverpool's preparation with Fabinho had to be put into practice.
The Brazilian and Matip performed well on the night - helped in no small part by a very good performance by Jordan Henderson in front of them. The captain was one of two changes to the starting line up following the win over Bournemouth with Trent Alexander-Arnold also making his full return to starting duties.

Alisson took a short time to settle in the reds goal - placing pressure on himself with a poor clearance before redeeming himself with a save from point blank range in the first period.
A lovely ball over the top by Jordan Henderson almost unlocked Mo Salah to fire past Manuel Neuer but the Egyptian was an inch or two behind the ball and couldn't maximise the power of his shot.
Mane misfiring
It was Sadio Mane who had the pick of the Liverpool chances - on two occasions fed the ball in the area by the rapidly improving Naby Keita. Both times he put the ball wide of the goal. On one occasion he even attempted an overhead kick - which also trundled past the post.
The second half was a less exciting affair - although Mane again had a great chance late on when Neuer saved at his near post from a Mane header.
Bayern Munich's experienced line up with the likes of Mats Hummels worked hard to deny the reds opportunities, and they were massively helped by Liverpool's off-target final ball.
After the game Klopp said he had counted as many as 12 misplaced final passes that could have punished Bayern.
This game was never likely to be settled in the first leg, and so we wait three weeks for the second leg where Liverpool may utilise the advantage of scoring an away goal in what should likely be a more open game.
Until then however, the reds turn their focus fully back to domestic matters with 12 points to play for before heading off to the Allianz Arena.
