Balotelli: I don’t want to go back to Liverpool

Mario Balotelli, the Liverpool striker on loan at AC Milan, has said he doesn't want to return to Anfield.

Speaking to Italian TV station Mediaset Premium the striker said:

"I want to stay at Milan.

"I do not want to return to Liverpool. I was never happy at Liverpool.

"I've been doing well in my last two games and there are another six for me to prove myself. Besides, Milan have the money."

There have been doubts as to whether Milan want the player who has been hit and miss to say the least at the Italian side this season.

Balotelli arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2014 - Brendan Rodgers bringing the forward in at the end of the transfer window which saw Luis Suarez depart.  The reds paid £16M for his services but he scored just 4 goals in 28 appearances for the club that season.

He returned to Milan at the start of this season but suffered an injury a month later that required surgery and kept him out until January 2016.

He has also been linked with a money spinning move to China in recent weeks.

New Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has not made any comment yet about Balotelli's future.
