Klopp: There will be no Coutinho replacement

With two days of the transfer window remaining it remains the position that Liverpool's only further business will involve exits.

Daniel Sturridge has been linked with both Inter Milan and Newcastle United but the discussion surrounding loan moves v permanent moves means this could go down to the wire.

But he emphatically insisted there will be no replacement for Coutinho who left way back at the start of the month for his move to Barcelona.

Philippe Coutinho is not to replace in this transfer window.

If we can stop thinking about that.  It is not about replacing anybody it is about using our own opportunities, our own tools, players, tactics, formations all that stuff.

It's right we didn't play well at Swansea but a few days before we played fantastic against Man City.  We could have won at Swansea and in the last game.  Only the results weren't good enough.

It was not about us creating chances.  The problem was defending and I don't think Phil would have helped a lot in these situations'

The solution is not out there in the transfer market at the moment.  We always have open eyes but there is not something out there for us.

Unfortunately when Phil left Adam (Lallana) got an injury.  In the long term we will do a lot, but in the short term I don't think it will happen.

Liverpool travel to Huddersfield Town tomorrow night - one of three Premier League games on Tuesday before the round of fixtures is completed on Wednesday.

The game will be live on BT Sport in the United Kingdom.
