Liverpool get £7M bid for Chilwell knocked back

Liverpool have had a £7M bid for Ben Chilwell, the 19 year old Leicester left back, knocked back.

According to the Echo, the champions want £10M for the player - who has a year left on his contract and has never played a Premier League game.

They say that the reds offered £5M up front - with potential add ons of a further £2M.

The reds have yet to decide whether to up their offer further.

The report says that Klopp intended to bring in Chilwell to bring in competition for Alberto Moreno.  Chilwell spent a brief period of time at Huddersfield on loan and the manager there, David Wagner, is a friend of the Liverpool manager.

The name of Hull City left back, 22 year old Andy Robertson, has been thrown into the mix as a potential alternative target if the Chilwell deal is not done.
