Fabio Borini moves to Sunderland on a season long loan

Liverpool striker Fabio Borini has moved to Sunderland on a season long loan.

Borini, the first signing under Brendan Rodgers regime, has failed to impress despite his £10M transfer fee.

The 22 year old scored twice in his 20 appearances for the club last season.

Liverpool now have three recognised first team strikers in Suarez, Sturridge and Aspas, although the club did bring in Victor Moses earlier today who can play in an advanced role if required.

Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has been very active in the summer transfer market and Borini is the 12th new face at the Stadium of Light.

Will Borini impress at Sunderland and get another chance at Liverpool next season?
