It was all Mike Marsh’s fault! Liverpool ditch coach in shake-up

Fresh from backing manager Brendan Rodgers - Liverpool have decided not to renew the contract of first team assistant coach Mike Marsh.

After finishing eight points behind the top four, the reds have decided that somebody must be held accountable and have turned their attention to former midfielder Marsh who initially joined the club under Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez's reign at the club.

He was described as the 'scouse heart' of Brendan Rodgers coaching side but after Liverpool's disappointing season it appears he simply had to go.

Marsh made over a hundred appearances for Liverpool, scoring six times.  His debut came two months before the Hillsborough disaster but he was transferred away from the club by Graeme Souness four years later.
