Klopp wants reds to learn from Chelsea game

The Liverpool boss, who marked his 50th game in charge in last night's draw against Chelsea, was beaming at the final whistle as the reds thanked the fans for their seasons support.

Although LFC's season continues - the next two games will be away from our Anfield home.

Builders moved in shortly after the final whistle to continue the significant summer developments that will see capacity increased at the stadium with the opening of a new main stand.

Following the final whistle, Klopp joined the players on their traditional walk around the ground after the last home game.

He said:

"It's a wonderful tradition to be honest.  I like it.  With all the family and everyone we now know.  Anfield is a special place.  This is really nice.

Turning to the game Klopp was disappointed with parts of the performance.

"First 15 minutes we were brilliant.  Real football.  Then after 16 minutes we lost patience.  We lost formation because we had lost patience.  Then you saw it.

"We didn't defend good because we were not compact - because we had lost formation.  We had several shots from around the box where we should have passed.

"At the end we fought.  They didn't score again - thanks Simon Mignolet.

"We have to develop a lot.  We got a point, that's all right.

"The result tonight was not important.  That we take the right information from this game is what is important."

Liverpool travel to West Brom on Sunday for the final league game of the season.  The reds will finish the campaign somewhere between 6th and 8th depending on results from the weekend.
