West Ham v Liverpool: Sturridge starts for reds in pivotal game

With Arsenal now snapping at Liverpool's heel in the race for a top four place there is little room for the reds to maneouvre today at the Olympic Stadium.

The reds face West Ham United in a must win game with just 6 points left to play for this season.

The team selected to end a pretty dire record against the Hammers is:

Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Coutinho, Origi, Sturridge

Substitutes: Karius, Moreno, Grujic, Alexander-Arnold, Lucas, Klavan, Woodburn

Daniel Sturridge returns to the Liverpool starting line up replacing Roberto Firmino who is ruled out due to a muscle injury, whilst Lucas Leiva makes way for the returning Adam Lallana.

It is Sturridge's first start for the reds since January, when he played in the 1-0 home defeat against Southampton in the League Cup semi final.

And his first Premier League start since a disappointing 2-2 draw against Sunderland - the first game of 2017.

Adam Lallana makes his first reds in two months.
