Klopp unsure on Salah but prepares to cause Man City problems

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has taken his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow night's Champions League clash.

The reds travel to the Etihad stadium to take on English champions-elect Manchester City with a 3-0 margin.  But with City's imperious performances in general at home this season, not to mention the 5-0 win over 10 man Liverpool early in the season, Klopp is not counting his chickens:

When we lost here 5-0 everyone saw the quality of City when we were one man down. Pep is the best manager in the world. But there is no perfect football team in the world.

"If you saw the 1st half against United, City maybe should have scored 6 goals - that quality isn't a surprise for us."

"It's our job to try with all we have to use the situation we have created with an outstanding performance. I'm looking forward to the game. It will be a real football game, and that's good!"

Klopp was asked what the perfect scenario would be?

"If we score five it will be difficult for Manchester - but that's not really likely. We have to cause them as many problems as we can. If we go through, Real, Barcelona and Bayern are waiting probably - quite intense!"

Mo Salah and Andy Robertson were not involved at the weekend and the reds are to undergo a training session later tonight.  It's still unsure if Salah will be involved in that session.

Earlier in the day Klopp was asked about fitness issues and team selection

Firstly specifically concerning Salah.

'Not sure 100 per cent. He was with the fitness coach yesterday training.

‘Now I am here, at 5pm we train at Melwood and we will see if he can be part of training. I’d say rather yes than no. Then we wait for the reaction and make a decision tomorrow.’

‘We will see in five hours until we train and we’ll know who is involved in that. I don’t know in the moment 100 per cent, but I am quite hopeful we will have a bigger squad than we had at Everton.’
