Liverpool grabbed all three points against a very defensively minded Sunderland at Anfield.
Sunderland boss David Moyes sent his side out to restrict the reds and in the first half his tactics worked very well - the reds attempting the majority of their chances from outside the area.
Klopp had picked an unchanged Liverpool line up. Adam Lallana is still out injured and Daniel Sturridge missed out on joining the squad with what LFC called a 'tight calf'.
Firmino had the reds first chance of the game in the 6th minute but fired straight at the keeper.
Mid-way through the half Coutinho suffered an injury when he attempted to kick a ball that Ibrahim Ndong had his foot behind. He went down in some pain, calling immediately for assistance, and minutes later was stretchered off the field.
Divock Origi was sent on to replace him.
Second half
The reds came out in the second half, kicking towards The Kop with more intent.
As the half wore on the number of LFC chances increased as did the groans from the Anfield crowd when the goals didn't come.
Klopp was furious and urged the fans to get behind the players - the decibels increased rapidly as Anfield ignited.
And they were rewarded moments later when Origi fired a shot from the edge of the box that finally broke the deadlock.
As injury time ticked over Sadio Mane was brought down for a Liverpool penalty. James Milner stepping up, doing his thing and he smashed in Liverpool's second of the day.
Roberto Firmino hobbled off with a few minutes remaining in what could be another injury scare but Liverpool go back, at least temporarily, to the top of the Premier League and now have 30 points from 13 games.
