LFC youngsters rewarded with Europa trip

Four of the reds Under 18’s starlets have been rewarded for their impressive performances this season, and particularly in Monday’s 9-0 victory, with a trip to Prague in Liverpool’s 23 man squad.

The reds face off against Sparta Prague in the 1st Leg of the last 32 Europa League tie on Thursday evening.  Despite managing other clubs in Europe, this will be Kenny Dalglish’s first European game as manager of Liverpool FC.

Steven Gerrard and Daniel Agger however, who missed the weekend’s game against Wigan, will remain on Merseyside as they battle to return to fitness ahead of the second leg at Anfield in a weeks time.  Christian Poulsen’s wife is in labour so he misses the trip.

IF Raheem Sterling is selected in the 18 and makes an appearance he will be Liverpool FC’s youngest ever player at the mere age of 16 years and 71 days.
