Klopp excited to face best mate David Wagner

Jurgen Klopp is looking forward to tomorrow's clash against Huddersfield, the side who won promotion last season under the management of his friend David Wagner.

It's a rare Saturday 3pm kick off for Liverpool in the days of wall to wall televised football.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference the reds boss was asked about his relationship with the Huddersfield boss.

'Not as much as in other weeks.  After our games (last weekend) we had a little chat, and then on Monday again a little bit but from then it was clear from both us there would not be more.

I didn't ask him how he would line up - he didn't ask me.  I didn't ask him if he would play like against Man United or like against West Ham.

It is exciting 100%.  You can imagine I'm really happy about this that we play against each other in the Premier League.  Nobody would have expected that 20 or 30 years ago.

When I was young, as a kid, I played all the time against my best friends and enjoyed nothing more than winning against my best friend.  He is my best friend and we have a really close relationship but that changes nothing for the game.
