Fabio lands Brazil national team call up

Liverpool’s 30 year old left back, Fabio Aurelio, has been rewarded for his performances at Liverpool by getting a long overdue call up to the Brazil national squad.

Fabio has been named in the squad that will face England in Qatar in a friendly game in the middle of November.

Brazil’s left back area has been a problem – with national coach Dunga trialling a number of players there but without anybody making the place their own. Reaction back in Brazil has been very positive to the news.

Fabio joins Lucas in the squad – Brazil qualified for the World Cup by finishing top of the South American group.

Congratulations to Fabio – and let’s hope he gets his chance to impress.
