BENITEZ REFUTES GERRARD ISSUE

Bellamy, for one, needs to repay Benitez' faith.

Rafa Benitez refused to accept that Liverpool's problems lie with Gerrard's positioning after once again the reds Captain started on the right wing, with Zenden being preferred for the centre.

Speaking after today's 3-0 defeat Rafa was asked if Gerrard should be playing in the centre - not the right. His response was swift.

"Steven was playing in the middle for part of the second half and we didn't create many chances.

"We need to improve as a team and not think about one or two players."

The video of his post match interview can be found in the match report.
