Konchesky linked with the old Fox Sven

Paul Konchesky, a player who didn’t feature under Kenny Dalglish’s reign at Anfield, and spent the last months of the season on loan at Nottingham Forest is set for a medical with Leicester City according to the BBC.

The 30 year old was brought to Anfield last summer by Roy Hodgson and handed a sizeable 4 year contract, one of the contracts that the new owners expressed some dismay at.

After a torrid time on the pitch, culminating in a Facebook rant by the players mother it now appears that his Anfield days are set to come to a close.

Sven Goran Eriksson is ready to take Paul to Leicester in a £1.5M deal.

Leicester City are currently in training in Sweden on their pre-season tour, and Konchesky is expected to fly out later for his medical.

Konchesky made 18 appearances for Liverpool last season – all in the first half of the season.
