Agger out for a month with broken ribs

Daniel Agger played for 20 minutes for the reds on Sunday with two broken ribs, sustained during the build up to Spurs’ first goal.

The reds gave the player painkillers to continue before he was eventually subbed half way through the first half.

Agger is likely to miss the reds next 3 league games, including trips to Everton and the home game against Manchester United.

The reds do hope to have Martin Kelly available for selection as the right back prepares to return from injury.  Other defensive absentees include Fabio Aurelio and Glen Johnson – Martin Skrtel is also absent through suspension.
