CISSE SHAKEN BUT NOT HURT

Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse emerged unscathed from a car crash on Friday.

The Frenchman, who arrived in a club record £14million deal from Auxerre in the summer, collided with a police car on his way to practice.

The two officers suffered slight neck injuries while Cisse hurt his rib, but Reds spokesman Ian Cotton confirmed the player was fit enough to resume training.

"Djibril was seen by the club doctor and then took part in training as normal," he said. "He was a bit shaken, obviously, but uninjured."

Cisse is expected to feature against Bolton at the Reebok Stadium on Sunday.
