Arne Slot was appointed as new LFC manager in June 2024 - after a golden period of 9 years under former boss Jurgen Klopp. His introduction to the Liverpool job coincided with two important tournaments, Euro 2024 and the Copa America - meaning he did not get to meet many of his senior players until almost the beginning of the 2024 season.
He won the club's 20th title in his first season before being sacked after a disappointing second season which saw the reds narrowly finish 5th. The tragic death of Diogo Jota came midway through his tenure when he was just about to start pre-season training.
