I LOVE A GOOD SPANKING

We always throw in about one spanking a season and it looks like Fulham are this season's victims.

A great run out and great to see Fowler & Mori & Crouch amongst the goals. Great to see Warnock's first goal for the reds (he looked pretty chuffed) and Cisse played a big part in turning the game from a 2-1 narrow win in to the 5-1 victory.

More importantly the reds are easing back up towards that 2 point a game target. 58 points from 30 games.

It's not been perfect, the season took a while to get going before we started putting in the big performances. We didn't take any points off Chelsea and United got lucky at Old Trafford, a performance that may help them to second place. But we have matched last season's total with 8 games to spare.

We need to push on now and aim for maximum points from our last 24. If we do we will end up with our highest ever Premiership points total.

Newcastle away will be tricky, they always raise their game against us, we haven't done exceptionally well up there in recent years.

However, on reflection a good night all round - Rafa is discussing a contract extension, all four strikers played important roles in tonights convincing Liverpool win, and we have a couple of talented young players already lined up for next season and we haven't even needed the cheque book at all. Oh, did I mention the FA Cup. What's more we outdid Everton's result against them too. Happy days!
