The Benitez Era has begun. A win over the mighty Wrexham (!?!), a debut for the ridiculous looking Djibril Cisse (who only likes long balls apparently) and promising performances from youngsters such as Carl Medjani (one for the future) and Darren Potter (shame about the name) and Igor Biscan! Yes, Igor apparently could have a role in the Benitez era. It's a crazy world we are living in.

Anyway, the reds are about to head off to the USA for a footballing extravaganza with some games against the European champions FC Porto amongst others. Let's hope that Benitez identifies his weak spots and we purchase a much needed couple of players.

Back to the website, and as you may have noticed we have moved to a faster webserver. This was partially to satisfy the growing need of the broadband users out there, but also to introduce newer, more interactive features. Top of our list to sort out is the forum, something we have never really sorted since 1997. Sorry, we don't like to rush things!

I would also like to wish Rafael Benitez and his Spanish cohort of coaches all the best for his Liverpool career and welcome to our city. We can only hope that his tenure is a succesful one. The very fact he hasn't rushed out and bought players suggests to me that he is a very focused and analytical manager, and I believe that some of our rotters may come good under him.

Lastly, if anyone wants to submit an article for the website, or help out generally with your far superior internet skills then drop me a line.

Adiós
