THE BOOKIES: ASTON VILLA v LIVERPOOL

Well, in our first outing for this new column last week we did pretty well - unfortunately for the wrong reasons. Yes we told you that Veron at 16/1 looked like good value for first goalscorer. Bet none of you followed it though.

Anyway back to the Villa clash.

The bookies have lost a bit of faith in Liverpool although a Liverpool win is still the favoured result at 6/5 with the draw at 9/4.

Of the first goalscorers Michael Owen is 9/2 with Baros just behind at 6/1. Assuming he is back though Steven Gerrard with a point to prove after missing out last week looks good value at 14/1. At the same price is Anthony Le Tallac to be the last goalscorer....!
