CISSE: 'I WILL WEAR THE SHIRT OF THE REDS'

Liverpool target Djibril Cisse has admitted that it is highly likely he will remain at French Cup winners Auxerre next season.

The 21-year-old striker has been consistently linked with a move to Anfield and is reported to be Gerard Houllier's number one summer transfer target.

But Cisse, who has attracted the attention of a number of high profile clubs throughout Europe, believes that his current club will continue to block any approaches Houllier makes to bring him to the Premiership.

"Sincerely, I believe that I will continue with AJA (Auxerre)," Cisse told Liverpool's official website today. "At the time I speak to you I am 90% an Auxerre player."

However, despite Auxerre's firm wish to keep their star forward, Cisse believes that is only a matter of time before he will be granted his dream move to Merseyside.

"It will arrive one day," he added. "I will wear the shirt of the Reds; it is in my spirit. It is Liverpool and nothing else."
