THE BOOKIES: BLACKBURN v LIVERPOOL

We have had an indifferent start to the year with our predictions but here we go again for a look at this Saturday's showdown between Souness v Houllier, Owen v Babbel, Gerrard v Thompson, Baros v Friedel -- Liverpool v Blackburn. Hmmm...

Liverpool are still slight favourites - the best odds you can get are 6/4 with Ladbrokes, Victor Chandler and Sporting Bet. If you want the draw, you pessimistic sods, then have a look at Coral - they're doing 9/4.

But your not going to get rich off all that malarky. How's about a 2-0 to the reds? You should be able to get at least 10/1 for that. Or even a 3-1? We like that at 22/1 with Ladbrokes.

You can have Sami Hyypia as first scorer at 33/1 or even Gerrard at 20/1 - good odds we reckon especially when you are lucky to get better than 12/1 for David Thompson! Markus Babbel at 50/1 is one for the true pessimist. However wide variations are with Harry Kewell - as low as 6/1 with some he is a 12/1 shot with Ladbrokes and Coral. Worth a fiver of anyone's money.
