Okay so in our competition which closed yesterday to win a brand new Liverpool FC away shirt, we asked you who did Liverpool play in the first game of 2004 and what was the score.

We were surprised with the number of wrong answers which included Wrexham (our first pre season friendly this season) and Chelsea home (which was our first Premiership game of last season in August 2003!!) and Chelsea away (our first Premiership match of 2004).

However, a clever 38% of you answered correctly that our first game of 2004 was against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup on the 4th January. And the score was 2-0 to Liverpool.

And the winner of the shirt, selected at random from all those who got the answer correct, is Ian Finch who lives in Market Harborough. Congratulations, and thanks to everyone who entered.
