Liverpool have agreed a fee with Aston Villa for Czech striker Milan Baros. The fee is believed to be in the region of £6.5 million. Two million less than Lyon are believed to have offered.

Milan is heading down the M6 for a medical this evening.

The player has agreed a deal worth £30,000 per week.

Milan, who scored one Premiership goal for the reds in 2005, was seen as expendable by Rafa (and us!) and it is believed the transfer money will be used to consolidate Liverpool's interest in a centre back and a right winger for the reds.
