AT LONG LAST GONZALEZ SIGNS

Liverpool's longest running transfer saga has finally come to an end.

Gonzalez, Fabio and Rafa discuss the title charge

The exciting Chilean winger, Mark Gonzalez, has been finally granted a work permit for Liverpool, the club he signed for 12 months ago.

Mark has spent a season on loan with Real Sociedad and was a vital cog in their team. The 23 year old is an attacking left winger

Rafa Benitez was delighted:

"This is very good news for us and I am absolutely delighted to welcome Mark Gonzalez to Liverpool as he is a player the supporters will like to see," Benitez told the club's website.

"Mark is an exciting left winger who can cross good balls and beat defenders and he is a very good signing for us. He has a very good mentality as when I was talking with him he told me, 'I want to play for Liverpool'.
