REDS STAR SET TO LEAVE ON FREE

Hamann set to leave the reds

One of the reds best servants look set to leave Liverpool on a free transfer as reported in today's Liverpool Echo.

Didi was given an extra years contract after last years Champions League Final, but with Sissoko arriving at Anfield the reds now look solid enough in central midfield and the 32 year old German is surplus to requirements.

Bolton Wanderers are believed to be top of the chasing pack and although the player is currently in Germany it is believed the deal will be tied up shortly.

Didi Hamann joined the reds in 1999 from Newcastle United for £8 million in a quest to win some trophies. He did just that - having won every domestic and European trophy with the reds in his 6 year spell apart from the Premiership title.

We would like to wish Didi all the best for the rest of his career, and thanks for being a magnificent servant for the club.
