REDS ISSUE ULTIMATUM TO SEVILLA

Liverpool won't be bullied over Alves

Liverpool have warned Sevilla they will not be held to ransom over Brazilian right winger Daniel Alves.

Liverpool have offered £8 million but Sevilla are believed to be holding out for £10 million. The reds are believed to be considering switching their attention elsewhere.

The player's agent Jose Rodriguez Baster revealed that Rafa is ready to look elsewhere if a deal can not be concluded soon.

'We're trying to reach a deal but it is not easy,' said Baster.

'If it's not sorted Benitez will search for other alternatives.'

The reds will believe the imminent decision over Mark Gonzalez work permit will strengthen their hand in the Alves deal.
