RAFA TELLS ROBBIE TO FIND THE NET

Rafa Benitez says now is the time for Robbie to start earning himself an extended deal at Anfield by putting the ball in the back of the net.

"His attitude is really positive and that is really important for him and for his future," said Benitez.

"I would like to see him score some goals - the reason we signed him was because we knew he was a good finisher.

"I'm hoping for a lot of goals from him and hopefully they will start now.

"We know he is a player who has scored a lot of goals and as a striker you don't forget these things. If you have his talent, it will shine through.

"Now is not the time to decide what will happen with regards to his future - we will have time later to sort that out. If we start to talk about these things now, then maybe in one month things can change."

"He's been working on his physical condition and the training sessions have been really good for him. We've been focusing specifically on his stamina levels and Pako knows how much Fowler must run and when.

"I can see a change in Robbie already and he is improving. A lot of people have been saying he looks thinner.

"Also, we're seeing a bit more pace from him. He does not have the pace of Djibril Cisse, but he can arrive earlier than a lot of players because of his intelligence.

"He is a good option for us. If I need to change something I can use Fowler.

"The most important thing is we have a player with passion and quality."
