MOMO REFUSING TO QUIT

Momo Sissoko has spoken about the day he lost the vision in his right eye nearly two weeks ago and expressed his determination to return to football with the reds.

"It was one of the scariest moments of my life," he said. "The doctor in Lisbon told me there was a serious risk I could lose the vision in my right eye. I asked myself 'is this the end of my career?'.

"As soon as I got back the club organised a visit to a specialist. He told me the injury wasn't as bad as I dreaded.

"I've promised myself I'll play again before the end of May. Maybe the FA Cup or Champions League final will be the game I return."
