DJIB ON THE COMEBACK TRAIL

Djib. Expensive.

Out of sight - out of mind? The French striker is still a Liverpool player and is recovering from his World Cup ending injury.

Liverpool's record signing has returned to light training after breaking his leg before the World Cup.

A statement for Marseille who he is on loan with for the season read:

"There was a little event at La Commanderie today," an announcement said on the club's official website.

"More than the preparation for the big match Marseille versus Lyon, Djibril Cisse had his first training session.

"The number nine was on the training ground for the first time, he ran a little and touched the ball.

"He is coming back slowly to avoid risks."

Coming back slowly to avoid risks.... sounds like his defensive attributes when he was playing for us.

Good luck to him - you never know...he may just wear that red shirt once more!
