KUYT READY FOR EINDHOVEN DOUBLE

The FA Cup. I mean - Dirk Kuyt.

Dirk is back in his homeland, expecting to fire the reds to victory on the same ground he scored in last week for the Netherlands.

The Dutch international was speaking shortly after arriving in Holland earlier today.

"It gave me a good feeling when I scored here in Eindhoven last week for Holland. And it will give me a really good feeling if I score here against PSV.

"And I have a pretty good record against PSV, I have scored three times in my last two games against them and it would be great to get my first Liverpool goal here, and in Holland."

He added: "It is extra special for me to make my Champions League debut for Liverpool back home here in Holland, and at a great club like PSV.

"The defeat by Everton, though, still concerns us.

"We are making too many mistakes, but we are also good players and we need to play better as a team. Maybe we are not gelling after so many new players, and then a lot of us away on international duty.

"You are only back two days before the weekend matches, that does not give you very much time to work on things."

Kuyt then turned his attention to the derby game and Pepe Reina.

Kuyt says: "It was really disappointing to lose a derby, it is not a good feeling, it is not funny.

"We can pick ourselves up in the Champions League, it has come quickly after the defeat to Everton and if we can win against PSV all our bad feelings will change.

"What we do know is that we have two important games now in six days against PSV and then Chelsea, and if we can do well in those we will know we are getting things right.

"It is important that we start our Champions League games in a positive way, we will want to put Everton behind us."

On Reina he said,

"It is wrong to blame Pepe Reina for what happened, we were 2-0 down in the 94th minute when he made that mistake, it didn't change the result," said Kuyt.

"He is a really good goalkeeper and the problem was not him, it was us for making so many mistakes in front of him."
