BELLAMY AND KUYT DREAM TICKET?

Craig Bellamy has backed Dirk Kuyt strongly for a great Liverpool career, leading to suggestions that Craig thinks Dirk is his preferred striking partner.

Craig was speaking to the official site ahead of Sunday's clash against Chelsea. The Welshman praised the players intelligence and the ease with which he was able to play alongside the dutchman.

"Dirk's an outstanding player," enthused Bellamy. "He is so intelligent and I think he's going to be a real big hit here.

"I just think he's an outstanding player and to be honest if I can just raise my game a little bit more than what it is at the moment then it will be very easy to play with him because he's so intelligent."

On the rotation system Craig said:

"With the manager it doesn't matter how well you are doing, there will be a time when he will leave you out and give you a rest."

"He has a lot of options and I knew that when I came to the club, so I didn't come in blind and I knew I wasn't going to play every week. That's a small price to pay for being at a big club like Liverpool and when you do get a chance you just want to try and do as well as you can for the team."
